Premium vertically grooved pre-primed panels offer a sharp and uniform appearance. Pre-primed and easy to install, Scyon™ Axon™ cladding provides a pristine look that lasts. Suitable for modern design both internally and externally, Scyon™ Axon™ cladding can be used in residential applications wherever a contemporary design is required, including external walls in composite construction, upper-storey and ground-level extensions, and internal feature walls.
The heavy-duty performance and enhanced workability of Axon™ cladding are evident in its design. The stepped shiplap on the long edges ensures easy installation, while the pre-primed sheets allow for faster paint application, requiring less paint and time to achieve a high-quality finish. Sized to fit common wall frame sizes, these sheets minimize waste and cutting. Whether you choose the smooth or grained surface texture, the vertical grooves—sharp and consistent—offer a design alternative to typical horizontal features. The option of brad nailing minimizes visual interruption. Additionally, Axon™ cladding can be used to add texture as an eave or soffit lining. Made from Scyon™, it resists shrinking, swelling, and cracking* to hold paint longer than wood, allowing for both dark and light color applications.
When used with HardieSmart™ wall systems, Axon™ cladding can achieve up to a 60-minute Fire Rating. With the right insulation and standard installation instructions, an R-Value of up to 2.8 can be achieved for the wall. Greater Total R-Values can be achieved through cavity wall construction and reflective vapor permeable membranes. Refer to the James Hardie’s Wall System Thermal Performance Total R-Values Technical Supplement for more information. Axon™ cladding is made from Scyon™, an advanced lightweight cement composite with heavy-duty performance. It is resistant to damage from termites, rot, and fire*, and can be gun nailed and easily cut like timber.
