When timber braces are impractical due to their thickness or inability to bend, such as in the case of exposed beams or rafters, Pryda Strap Brace offers an ideal solution for bracing applications. This flat strap, steel bracing is designed for use in roofs, walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a versatile and reliable alternative to traditional timber braces.
The Pryda Strap Brace can be easily and quickly tensioned using the Strap Brace Tensioner, simply by driving the hex-head screw or turning the wing nut. This feature significantly reduces on-site labor time, as studs do not need to be notched. Additionally, the unnotched studs can often be a smaller size, making them more cost-effective than notched studs. The product complies with Australian Standards AS7120.1-2010, AS/NZS1170, AS4055-2006, AS1684.2-2010, and AS1684.3-2010 when installed according to Pryda’s Design Guidelines.
