A high strength weathered coating remover|Helps prepare new timber for coating|Low odour|Salts Based|Clear|A powerful, high strength liquid remover,UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover is used to lift old or weathered existing timber finishes and prepare timber for coating. It can also used as a high strength cleaner. On new timber, it removes dirt, tannins, natural oils and other contaminants from the timber surface, preparing timber for coating.PREPARATIONRemove surface dirt by sweeping or washing down with water.APPLICATION1. Shake UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover thoroughly.2. Wet the timber surfaces to be cleaned with water.3. Apply UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover undiluted to the timber with a stiff bristle brush, broom, or spray. Clean complete sections at one time. Spot cleaning should be avoided to prevent patchy results.Note: UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover is very slippery. Take care when walking on treated surface.4. Leave UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover on the timber for 10–15 minutes. If necessary, apply more UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover to keep timber damp throughout this period. Do not allow UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover to dry on the surface.5. For best results UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover should be applied to cool surfaces, out of direct sunlight, to avoid the cleaner drying on the timber.6. Scrub the timber vigorously with a stiff broom. Do not use a wire brush.7. Rinse off exterior surfaces thoroughly using maximum pressure from a garden hose or using a high pressure water cleaner. For best results, a high pressure water cleaner is recommended.IMPORTANT: Failure to thoroughly remove UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover may result in timber discolouration under clear finishes.8. If stubborn areas remain, repeat application in those areas as per the instructions above.9. Rinse off exterior surfaces thoroughly, then clean timber with UltraPrep Timber Cleaner closely following label instructions. Note: After cleaning with UltraPrep Tannin & Oil Remover, some timber species will appear darker. UltraPrep Timber Cleaner will restore brightness.10. Allow timber to dry thoroughly before applying further products.
