As a waterproofing admixture, Prep Coat Primer significantly improves the water resistance and adhesion of cement-based compounds such as mortars, slurries, grouts, and cement-based adhesives.
Gripset Betta Primer is a water-based primer designed for use on all porous substrates such as concrete, brick, and block work. It forms a high-quality bond to cement-based substrates, increasing the strength of the finished product while providing excellent adhesion to Gripset Betta membranes. This primer offers excellent adhesion over general building surfaces and is fast-drying with an economical coverage of up to 1 litre per 8 m². It can be used as a paint and tile primer and is compatible with Gripset Betta membranes, tile adhesives, renders, and water-based acrylic paints.
Additionally, Prep Coat Primer improves the water-resistant and waterproof properties of cement-based compounds. It enhances bond strength in areas subject to moisture, weather, immersion, and over non-porous surfaces. The primer also offers improved crack, frost, and salt resistance, with enhanced durability and reduced shrinkage. Prep Coat and Additive is water-based, non-toxic, and solvent-free.
