Dakaflash is the latest addition to our lead-free flashing range, offering a superior alternative for your construction needs. This composite laminate flashing features a colored creped aluminum top sheet, combined with 100% butyl adhesive, protected by a two-piece HDPE backing. Embedded within the butyl adhesive is the same reinforcing aluminum mesh found in our best-selling lead-free flashing, Wakaflex. This mesh provides Dakaflash with enhanced rigidity and support, while still maintaining the smooth, contoured finish that is synonymous with Wakaflex.
Although Dakaflash does not stretch as much as Smartform (60%) due to the reinforcing mesh, it can still achieve an impressive 30% stretch in length. This flexibility is significantly greater than other metal-based flashings, allowing it to be neatly dressed around curves and corners, such as bull noses. Dakaflash is suitable for almost every traditional flashing application and excels in extreme profiles like verandas, carports, and patios. Whether for new builds or maintenance, Dakaflash combines the aluminum and butyl body of Smartform with the internal reinforcing mesh from Wakaflex, making it a premium flashing option when performance, aesthetics, and cost are key considerations.
