Made from 304 Extreme Stainless Steel, these screws provide superior corrosion resistance compared to standard 304 stainless steel. This makes them ideal for most external applications, although they are not recommended for use within 1km of breaking surf or near swimming pools due to environmental factors that can contribute to premature corrosion.
The Type 17 Point on these screws helps to remove debris when driven through timber, reducing the need for pre-drilling in some cases. However, it is always recommended to pre-drill the ends of any timber to prevent splitting. The 5mm Internal Hex drive is designed for high-torque applications, providing a large surface area for the driver bit to grip, thereby reducing the chance of camming out. The Bugle Head design allows the screw to easily countersink into most timbers, increasing its holding power.
