The Whitco Deadlatch with Safety Release is a double-cylinder deadlatch that can be operated by either the inside turn knob or by the external key. It features a hold-back mechanism, allowing it to be locked in both positions. This deadlatch is designed to be installed at the same height as your existing deadlatch, ensuring a quick and easy installation process. The stainless steel latch bolt is resistant to cutting, providing enhanced security.
Concealed anchorage points add strength to the door frame and comply with Australian regulations outlined in AS4145 - 1993. The Safety Release feature automatically unlocks the inside knob on entry. This deadlatch suits left or right-hand opening doors and is compatible with inward-opening timber frame doors or inward-opening metal frame doors with an optional metal frame strike. It accommodates door thicknesses ranging from 30mm to 45mm and has a 60mm cylinder backset. The locking bolt automatically deadlatches when the door is closed.
