Our durable concrete masonry building blocks are designed for a variety of building applications and are available in a range of sizes and fractions. These blocks can be painted or rendered to achieve a finished wall appearance. The 20.01 is the full unit Besser block in the 200mm block series. Please note that concrete products are produced using natural raw materials, so colors and textures may appear differently on screen. We recommend sighting a physical product before purchase.
To achieve the best results from masonry blocks, ensure that the blocks are dry when laid in the wall to minimize subsequent shrinkage. Keep mortar off the face of the blocks and clean off droppings as work progresses, avoiding the use of acid for cleaning whenever possible. It is also important to order enough product to complete the project at the same time to avoid batch variations. Concrete masonry blocks behave differently from clay bricks in terms of moisture movement and temperature changes. To prevent cracks in walls, use control joints, bond beams, and/or joint reinforcement as specified in Australian Standard 3700-2011.
