Sand only in the direction of the grain. Stir thoroughly with a broad flat paddle until the pigment is mixed in and the color is uniform. Keep well stirred during use. If using more than one can, mix all cans together into a larger container to ensure color uniformity.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e2. Apply with a good quality brush, roller, or lint-free rag and work the stain evenly into the grain.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e3.
